Day 1

New York - Corning/Watkins Glen - Niagara Falls (421 miles)

In the morning, we will drive from New York City to the either the Corning Glass Museum in Corning, NY to learn about glassmaking. In the summer we will also go to Watkins Glen State Park. (**We will visit Watkins Glen only when weather condition allows. In case of storm, we reserve the right to change the itinerary considering safety issues. And we will visit Corning Glass Museum instead.) From there, we will continue to Niagara Falls, NY, where we will see the Niagara Falls Illumination.

    Watkins Glen is a village in Schuyler County, New York. This is the birthplace of the Watkins Glen International, one of the premier automobile road racing tracks in the United States. Sitting on the south shore of Seneca Lake, it is also famous for its beautiful natural sceneries.

    Watkins Glen State Park

    Glen Creek has carved a dramatic gorge into the Watkins Glen hillside, resulting in a large, cavern-like network of rock formations.

Niagara Falls - Niagara Falls Canada - Toronto (83 miles)

Today, we will continue our tour of the Niagara Falls area by taking the Hornblower Niagara Cruise, watching the informational IMAX Movie. After crossing the border to Canada through the Rainbow Bridge, we will ascend the Skylon Tower. Afterwards, we will depart for Toronto to visit the CN Tower. We will also have the option of taking a Mariposa Toronto Harbour Cruise. Later, we will have dinner in the historic Chinatown district.

    Rainbow Bridge

    The Rainbow Bridge across the Niagara River connects Niagara, Ontario to Niagara, New York. It is an international landmark and impressive architectural feat. In addition to private vehicles, pedestrians and bikes can cross the bridge for a small toll.

    Skylon Tower

    This observation tower on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls offers a bird's-eye views of one of the world's favorite natural wonders. The tower stands 520 feet from street level and 775 feet from the bottom of the falls.

    Ripley's Aquarium of Canada

Toronto - Thousand Islands - Ottawa - Montreal (533 miles)

In the morning, we will leave Toronto for the Thousand Islands. Here, we will take a Boat Tour of the area that will pass by some of this beautiful archipelago's most famous landmarks. Then, we will continue on to Ottawa, ON, where we will visit Parliament Hill, the center of Canadian government. From there, we will journey to Montreal, QC to see theOlympic Stadium and Tower. If time permits that we will take the Double Decker, the tour is a unique way to see the landmarks of Montreal, including Notre Dame Basilica, The old Port of montreal, etc.
  • Thousand Islands, ON

    An international tourism destination situated between Canada and the United States along the St. Lawrence River. The region takes its name from the more than 1,000 islands that dot the lakes and rivers along this international waterway.

Montreal - New York (374 miles)

On our way back to New York City, we will stop at a duty-free shop near the Canadian border.Then we'll visit Ausable Chasm (In case of extreme weather, we will visit Secret Cavern insead). We will arrive back in New York City at about 8:00pm. See "Departure and Return Details" for pickup and dropoff information.

  • This tour requires a minimum of twelve passengers to run. Please reconfirm a day or two before departure.
  • Please Note: A valid passport and visa (if applicable) are required to enter Canada.
  • Hotel & Tour Guide Information: This information will be provided by the tour guide the night before departure between 7:00pm - 9:00pm EST via phone call or text message. If for any reason you do not receive the call or text, you should be at the pickup location at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
  • Tour route may be changed and reversed; you may contact the vendor 1-2 days prior departure to confirm final itinerary
  • Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.

Pricing Policy

  • Buy 2 Get 3rd Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $158 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 years old. Child above 2 years must take the seat. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses for the infant under 2 years. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.

Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours

(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

  • 15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
  • 7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
  • 4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
  • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
