Day 1

Washington DC

As guests arrive at the airport in Washington, D.C., they will meet with their guide to join this tour at the baggage claim area. For international arrivals, the tour escort will wait just outside of the customs exit. Free transfer to our hotel is available between 9:00am and 10:00pm. Guests who meet tour guide at airport before 4:30pm will have the option to take a Night Tour (a minimum of 4 is required to run the night tour) of the city.

Day 2

Washington D.C. - Watkins Glen State Park (324 miles)

Today, we will head to Watkins Glen State Park in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The glen descends 400 feet, walled on both sides by steep cliffs and generating more than 20 waterfalls along its course. There is an additional charge of $10 per person for state park admission and bus parking. In case of bad weather, we will instead visit the Corning Museum of Glass.

Day 3

Niagara Falls

Today, we will drive along the Erie Canal in upstate New York on our way to the magnificent Niagara Falls. Here, we will ride the famous Maid of the Mist cruise (closed in winter) and see the Niagara Falls Adventure IMAX. If you want your trip more memorable and refreshing, you definitely won't want to miss the excitement of playing in the whitewater rapids by JETBOAT on the Niagara River. (Jetboat tour is available only when weather condition allows; in case of storm, snow, icy condition of the Niagara River, the boat tour will be closed for safety reasons) In the afternoon, we can choose to remain in the Falls Park to explore on our own or to embark on an in-depth tour of the area that visits Whirlpool State Park and Old Fort Niagara. At night, guests can choose to stay at the state park for night view or try your luck in the casino.

Day 4

Hershey's Chocolate World - Washington DC (327 miles)

Today, we will visit North America's largest chocolate manufacturer at Hershey's Chocolate World, where we can take a short train ride to learn about the chocolate-making process, capping it off with a piece of hot, fresh chocolate. We can also pick our own flavors at a make-your-own chocolate bar. Later, we will drive to Washington, DC.

Day 5

Washington D.C. City Tour

We will begin our day by visiting the U.S. Capitol Building, home of Congress. We will also visit the Library of Congress. Then, we will stop by the Lincoln Memorial and overlook the Reflecting Pool. We will also stop at the Vietname Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the National Air and Space Museum. Furthermore, we can take photos in front of the White House and the Capitol. We will also have the chance to take a Potomac River cruise which will give us a great view of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and the WWII Memorial.

    This memorial in Washington, DC serves as a place to remember the American soldier who were lost or killed during the tumultuous Vietnam War. Originally controversial in design, the simple memorial has become a shrine for the American people.

    This memorial commemorates those who served for the United States in the Korean War. It is located south of the Reflecting Pool at the National Mall. The simple memorial is triangular in shape will a circle at the top.

    National Air and Space Museum

    One of the Smithsonian Institute's museums in Washington, DC, the National Air and Space Museum chronicles the history of flight. From the Wright Brother to Buzz Aldrin, the exhibits at this museum explore all of humanity's air travels.

Day 6

Washington D.C. (34 miles)

In the morning, we will go to Virginia to see the Pentagon and its 9/11 Memorial. Afterwards, we will see George Washington's home at Mount Vernon. Then, we will stop at Arlington National Cemetery, where about 300,000 military service men and women rest in peace. At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, we can see the changing of the guard ceremony. In the afternoon, we will visit the International Spy Museum.

    The Pentagon

    Pentagon Memorial

    This memorial outside the Pentagon was built for all the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. One of the hijacked planes crashed into the Pentagon, killing several government employees.

    Arlington National Cemetery

    This military cemetery spans more than 600 acres in northern Virginia on the border with Washington, DC. It contains the graves of Presidents Taft and Kennedy as well as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Luray Caverns - Skyline Drive in Shenandoah (28 miles)

We will depart in the morning for Virginia. Upon our arrival in this scenic state, we will head to Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley to visit Luray Caverns. In the afternoon we will enter the Shenandoah national park to take the beautiful skyline drive. On the winding drive way on the mountains we will stop at the overlooks to observe the beautiful Shenandoah valleys. We will also take an easy walk on one of the trails among the mountains. A wonderful scenic tour is a must-do in the state of Virginia.

Biltmore Estate - Pigeon Forge (65 miles)

In the morning, we will travel to the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, a French Renaissance-style home built by George Vanderbilt II, where we will be able to overlook Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Then, we will drive through the mountains, stopping along the way for extraordinary views. We will also take the Ober Gatlinburk Aerial Tramway for even more exquisite views. Then, we will reach Pigeon Forge, where we can participate in a Dixie Stampede dinner show, at our own expense. Then, we will check into our hotel for the night.

Pricing Policy

  • Buy 2 Get 3rd Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $595 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 years old. Child above 2 years must take the seat. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses for the infant under 2 years. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

  Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

  Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  Terms & Condition

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.

Cancellation penalties per person for tours last 5 or more days(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

  • Up to 46 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
  • 21-45 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
  • 8-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • 1-7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
  • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
